Memoirs With Lots Ah Ha Moments!
The 4 memoirs below are amazing accomplishments by the 4 people who wrote them. I encourage you to learn through their stories.
Shonda Rhimes is the mastermind behind my favorite show of all-time Scandal. The Year of Yes gives us a peek into her life and who knew she had to work on overcoming her introverted habits.
Being Mary-Jane is another one of my all-time favorite shows, so when its star Gabrielle Union wrote a memoir, of course I was all in. And the memoir doesn’t disappoint. This book has so many heartfelt stories about her growing up in a predominantly white area, struggling with being a perfectionist and her personal experience with rape.
I stumbled upon this memoir almost forgetting about this insanely funny comedian, Russell Brand. His book takes you though the 12-Step process in depth, but with the authors unique personality and wit!
I found this book when I was researching emotional eating. It Was Me All Along by Andie Mitchell captures the “Why’s” around emotional eating as well as this young woman’s coming of age tale, surrounding her family issues, weight issues, college life into adulthood. Great read and Andie has an amazing blog to keep her readers updated on all her current goings on.
Let me know your thoughts if you have read any of these or when you read one. ❤️
