Author Spotlight Janet Evanovich
I love the The Stephanie Plum Novels audio books, so I am doing a post about Janet Evanovich , who authors the series. The series is a 24 book series. I am halfway though the series (Book 12) . The next book , Look Alive Twenty-Five comes out November 2018. The series is a comedic mystery series, about Stephanie Plum, a female bounty hunter. I have not done such stellar binge-worthy work since my son introduced me to HBO's Game of Throne's.
The author Janet Evanovich does an amazing job diversifying the characters in The Stephanie Plum Novels to be sure everyone finds a character to connect with. My favorites so far (thru Book 12) are Connie, the office manager at the bonds office Stephanie works at. The over the top Lula, an ex-hooker turned Stephanie's co-worker. Bold and fun Grandma Mazur, Stephanie's grandmother is a riot. And I even enjoy cousin Vinnie, who owns Plum Bail Bonds where Stephanie works. The series has the entertaining love triangle between main character Stephanie Plum, Joe Morelli her "on and off again" hot cop boyfriend and her sexy bad boy colleague Ranger.
Janet Evanovich has roots to the East Coast and wrote several books in the series while in New Hampshire. At the end of a few of the Stephanie Plum Novel audio books the narrator interviews Janet Evanovich. Janet loves the country but when she needs her city fix she commutes to the city and that is when she listens to audio books. It was also interesting to hear, Janet belongs to a bounty hunter association through her years of research in the industry and for fundraising support she names a character in her books after an actual member of the association.
One For The Money Movie (2012) Starring Katherine Heigl, who played Stephanie Plum.
The first book of The Stephanie Plum Novels was made into a movie in 2012. One For The Money , did not do well on the big screen. Janet Evanovich and star Katherine Heigl promoted the movie together. Janet Evanovich was happy with the movie and its star choice but unfortunately we are one and done with the movie.
Another star-studded fact about this novel series is actress Debi Mazur narrated Novels 4-6. Debi Mazur co-stars in a unique series on TVLand called Younger, the series was created based on the novel Younger by Paula Redmond. We can pray for a Stephanie Plum TV series perhaps!
